PE Teacher

Starting: September 2024 – End Date: December 2024 (Fixed-Term Contract)
Pay: £150 - £210 per day
Location: Salisbury
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Full-time

The School are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate PE Teacher to join our committed team for a fixed-term contract from September to December 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons to students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). This role involves inspiring a love for physical activity, promoting healthy lifestyles, and developing students' skills and confidence in various sports and physical activities.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and development.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Cultivate positive relationships with all students and dedicate efforts to improving their academic achievement.
• Adapt creatively and constructively to evolving subject expectations.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during PE lessons and activities.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Physical Education or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching PE, preferably in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for PE.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

The school is a mixed Secondary School for students aged 11 to 16 years, with approximately 1200 students in total. Located in Salisbury, the school was rated as a Good School in its most recent Ofsted inspection and continues to maintain strong performance.
