A Special Needs School in Salisbury are seeking a dedicated and caring Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis as soon as next week. You will be supporting children and teenagers with moderate learning difficulties, autism and communication challenges.

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them achieve their full potential. You will encourage positive social interactions and help students build effective relationships with their peers, while enhancing their communication skills. You will also provide pastoral care, and help the class teacher to create an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued.

The school are eager to find a Special Needs Teaching Assistant who is caring and nurturing, with a positive attitude and a desire to help others. Previous experience working with children would be beneficial, as well as an understanding of additional needs. A degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Criminology or Health & Social Care, would also be useful. Personality is most important - enthusiasm comes first!

By working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant at this school, you will further your SEN experience, with progression opportunities as an SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Autism Practitioner or Educational Psychologist.
