Are you an experienced Test, Repair & Inspection Technician with a background in fault diagnosis and repair of PCBAs?
Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
About the Role:
As a Test, Repair & Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing products post-manufacture. This includes diagnosing and repairing faults to the highest standards, completing all necessary documentation, and ensuring compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements. You will also be involved in Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) testing and report any non-conformances accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test both new and returned products to the required specifications.
- Diagnose and repair faults in Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
- Operate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and ESS equipment following established procedures.
- Complete and file all documentation, including non-conformance reports and customer returns databases, promptly.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to report and address deviations from standards.
- Continuously review and update test documentation and product work instructions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Standard educational qualifications including English, Maths, and a science subject.
- HND or BSc in Electronics or a similar field (desirable).
- Experience working in an engineering or quality-related production environment.
- Skilled in fault diagnosis to component level of PCBAs.
- Proficient in using electronic equipment such as mustimeters and oscilloscopes.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
- Familiarity with company product lines and quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Knowledge and Behaviours:
- Knowledge of working within the defence industry.
- Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) precautions and handling.
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- Positive, accountable, and team-focused attitude.
