Hours: Week 1: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45 | Week 2 : Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45 / Friday 08:00 - 16:30

Role Summary:

Your primary role is to help enhance our clients operational efficiency, reduce costs and drive quality improvements across all areas of the business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities, apply Lean, Six Sigma, and methodologies, and lead projects that support the organisation's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Analyse current processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend solutions that drive cost savings, reduce waste and increase productivity.
  • Collect, analyse, and report key performance data to track improvement progress and impact.
  • Provide insights to leadership through detailed reporting and presentations.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma (where applicable) and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce variability and enhance process quality.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and goals are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on process improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring colleagues and championing best practices.
  • Support root cause analysis to address issues in production, quality, or workflow, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
  • Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure alignment on improvement goals and seamless implementation of changes.
  • Maintain and support the development of documentation for new processes, policies, work instructions to ensure consistency and standardisation across the organisation.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Hold a Lean and/or Sigma Certification
  • Have a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Have 2+ years of experience in a continuous improvement, process engineering, or quality improvement role (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Use of data analysis, process mapping and root cause analysis.
  • The ability to work with cross functional teams.
  • Be results-oriented, proactive and have a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence others at alll levels.
  • A proven experience in leading cross-functional projects with a track record of successful implementation and measurable results.
  • Understand continuous improvement methodologies, problem solving methodologies and lean principles.
  • Have effective presentation skills of data and identifying problems area through analysis.
  • The ability to understand engineering and manufacturing principles.
  • Ideally you will have an understanding of ISO14001, 27001 and AS9100.
  • Ideally experience manufacturing in a high value, low volume setting.
  • Due to the nature of this business all candidate will be required to undergo security clearance at SC level.
