Production Engineer:

Working for a manufacturing business in the Sandwich area, you will be responsible for co-ordinating production engineering processes from the final design phase to full production release. Working closely with the engineering and project team along with production and supply chain, the role will be to ensure successful transition for new and existing product design and achieving project timelines within budget and to the highest quality.

Duties:

  • Responsible for managing the standards, methods and procedures for design, modification and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Develop & deliver production plans, build documentation and route cards for a variety of engineering projects
  • Contribute to the development of strategy
  • Resolve manufacturing issues and work cross-functionally
  • Develop best practice to improve production capacity, quality and reliability
  • Contribute and support CI initiatives
  • Support NPI
  • Production engineering tasks with ToT
  • Undertake customer and suppliers visits

You will ideally be educated in an engineering related discipline or with a recognised engineering Apprenticeship within an electro-optical manufacturing environment. You should be able to demonstrate a good understanding and application of process engineering principles, concepts, practices and standards and have the ability to implement effective and timely production solutions
