You will be responsible for optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency and ensuring the highest product quality.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:

  • Assist with the planning of day-to-day manufacturing.
  • Plan for the recovery of material in manufacturing runs.
  • Compile information that is required for work orders.
  • Complete tasks on the company's ERP system that revolve around the work order process.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure the smooth and continued high standards of manufacturing.
  • Be part of preventative problem solving in the form of process improvement projects.
  • Solve reactive problems that could occur during the manufacturing process.
  • Provide justifications for the solutions suggested improvements.
  • Have a level of involvement in quality control and research and development activities.
  • Understand how testing is done and why each test is carried out.
  • Learn how to perform FTIR analysis, as well as other analytical procedures.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • An Engineering qualification.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people of different levels.
  • The ability to use Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • A sound understanding of CAD (Computer Aided Design) is a must.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
  • An understanding of organic chemistry would be desirable.
