Permanent full time role

Pearson Whiffin are delighted to be partnered with an established manufacturing business in East Kent! We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and will have been exposed to a manufacturing and/or engineering environment.

Duties include:

• Purchasing of all materials.
• Requesting quotations from suppliers.
• Negotiating costs for materials and deliveries.
• Analysing suppliers and providing on supplier performance.
• Raising Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
• Progressing orders.
• Completing customs documentation.
• Dealing with invoice queries.

To be considered for this role, you must have/be:

• Previous buying experience within a manufacturing/engineering setting.
• Experience of importing/exporting materials.
• Confident using ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a natural relationship builder.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
