Electrical Panel Assembly Technician - Electrical Fitter

Permanent position - Immediate start available

  • Salary to £32,448 (£16.00 per hour) - Depending on Experience
  • Overtime available at 1.5 times the hourly rate (up to £24.00 per hour)
  • Good hours available - Mid-day finish on a Friday.
  • Company located in the Cambourne - St. Neots area
  • Own transport required due to location.
  • Free on-site car parking.

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Electrical Panel Assembly Technician - Electrical Fitter to join this thriving, established manufacturer of special purpose machinery located in the Cambourne area on the border of Cambridge and Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Constructing control panels according to technical drawings, including cutting and fitting wire ducting and DIN rail.
  • Wiring control panels based on electrical schematic drawings.
  • Testing control panels in compliance with relevant documentation.
  • Performing fault finding on control panels.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Practical electrical wiring experience in an industrial environment; mechanical experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage a dynamic workload with a flexible approach while maintaining excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and understanding written and numerical data related to electrical systems.
  • Strong individual work ethic and effective team collaboration skills.

Working Hours:

39 per week, Mid-day finish on a Friday

  • Monday: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am - 12:00 noon

Salary:

Up to £32,448 pa, DOE.

- Overtime available at 1.5 times the hourly rate (Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings).

(Rate: to £16.00 p/hr, Overtime to £24.00 per hour)
