IT Support Engineer

Job Description:We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line support to a growing team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all IT-related issues, helping to ensure that operations continue without interruption. You'll play a key role in maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting users across multiple departments, and troubleshooting a variety of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to all staff, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telephony systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory.
  • Monitor and maintain backup systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors for escalated issues and hardware replacements.
  • Document IT processes and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Provide end-user training and support on various IT systems and software.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices to recommend improvements to the IT infrastructure.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar IT support role, providing 1st and 2nd line support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office 365.
  • Experience with Active Directory, network protocols, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with server management, virtualization technologies, and cloud services.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of Azure (beneficial)
