Primary School Cook Manager

Term Time Only 27.5 hours a week +3 Cleaning Days

Salary: £20,013

Schedule:Monday to Friday 5.5 hours a day between the hours of 7:30am & 2:30PM (flexible)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals, including catering for special dietary needs
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas
  • Manage stocktaking and ordering of supplies
  • Maintain and monitor budgets effectively
  • Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
  • Serve meals to students and staff
  • Utilise IT systems for daily operations
  • Foster positive relationships within the school community
  • Motivate, develop, and support staff to reach their full potential
  • Ensure allergen information is correctly displayed, and food preparation follows dietary requirements

Ideal candidate

  • Previous experience in catering or kitchen management
  • Positive attitude with the ability to be an effective team player
  • Capable of leading and motivating a team
  • Food hygiene level 2 certification (preferred)
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Exceptional timekeeping and reliability
