Job Description: As a Work-Based Trainer in Electrical, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to apprentices and trainees in the electrical field. You will work closely with learners to develop their practical skills and theoretical knowledge, ensuring they meet industry standards and achieve their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in electrical installation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Assess learners’ progress through practical assessments, observations, and written tests.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners improve and succeed.
  • Develop and update training materials and resources to reflect current industry practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and achievements.
  • Liaise with employers to ensure training meets their needs and expectations.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Electrical Installation or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
  • Proven experience in the electrical industry, with a strong understanding of current practices and standards.
  • Previous experience in a training or teaching role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
