About the Role:

TQR is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for an experienced health and safety professional to join a leading manufacturing site in Scarborough. This is a genuinely exciting time to be joining our client’s business, as they are set to move to a new state of the art, purpose-built net-zero factory, creating hundreds of new jobs as a result!

As a key member of a small EHS team, you will be responsible for maintaining and promoting Health, Safety, and Sustainability, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Health and Safety of all employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers visiting the site.
  • Lead daily and weekly safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain contingency plans for emergency situations.
  • Deploy and pilot occupational risk assessments and site impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with the SERE leader to propose targets, action plans, and resources.
  • Ensure the existence and respect of safety control measures for all activities.
  • Support the implementation of Schneider Sustainability Strategy action plans.
  • Maintain the management system for Health & Safety, Environment, and Energy (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001).
  • Guarantee compliance with regulations in the field of Health & Safety and Environment.
  • Ensure accurate KPI and communication reporting to the plant manager and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the H&S committee and coordinate teams.
  • Provide training to staff at all levels within the plant.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A formal H&S qualification, e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
  • Applied knowledge and experience in a similar position or within the field of Occupational Health, Safety & Environment.
  • Experience working within an engineering and/or manufacturing environment is preferable.
