HSE Engineer Needed for a Permanent Role in Scarborough, UK

Located in the picturesque town of Scarborough, this HSE Engineer role not only offers professional challenges but also a wonderful environment to enhance and develop your career.

Specifically, the HSE Engineer will be responsible for the Health & Safety of all employees, customers, contractors and suppliers visiting this large manufacturing site, with responsibility for site performance and compliance against legislation/directives.

Main responsibilities of HSE Engineer:

  • Lead the daily & weekly safety audit as well as risk assessment when request is raised
  • Maintain and develop the contingency plan in case of emergency situation
  • Deploy & pilot the occupational risk assessment & site impact assessment
  • Work with the SHE leader to propose targets, action plans & resources.
  • Ensure the existence of Safety control measures for all activities
  • Ensure the efficiency of the safety walk process at plant management level
  • Maintain the management system for Health & Safety & Environment & Energy (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001)
  • Lead the H&S committee at the site & coordinate the teams
  • To provide training to staff at all levels within the plant

Qualification Required for HSE Engineer Role

  • Formal H&S qualification NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
  • Previous HSE / Health & Safety experinece within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Assembly or Construction environment
