GSL Education is seeking empathetic, resilient, and committed individuals to join our pool of SEN Teaching Assistants for placements in specialist education provisions across Scarborough from April, May and September 2025.
This is an ideal opportunity if you're considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, social work, or child and adolescent mental health.
As a Teaching Assistant in a specialist provision, you will be:
- Supporting children and young people with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and trauma.
- Building positive relationships and promoting emotional regulation and communication.
- Helping deliver learning activities tailored to students' individual needs.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
- Applying psychology and behavioural strategies to help students engage and succeed.
We Welcome Applicants With:
- A degree in Psychology or related fields (2:2 or above preferred).
- Experience working or volunteering with children or young people in any setting.
- Youth work, mentoring, or support experience (formal or informal).
- Strong interest in SEN, mental health, neurodiversity, or therapeutic education.
