Summary of Job Role

As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and VAT returns while managing a portfolio of clients. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the overall success of the practice. Person Specification:

  • AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA (or equivalent). If you meet the criteria but are not studying, you are still encouraged to apply.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience within an accountancy practice
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and VAT returns
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Experience in managing client relationships and handling queries efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and timely compliance with accounting and tax requirements
  • Act as a key point of contact for client queries, delivering expert advice and support
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and maintaining strong professional relationships

Financial Statements & Taxation:

  • Prepare and review financial statements for non-audit limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines for annual filings and tax submissions
  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returns

Team Development:

  • Support and mentor junior team members and apprentices
  • Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment
