Stafforce are recruiting FLAVOURIST for our client, an employer of choice, Tayto Ltd, in Scunthorpe DN16 1TT. Tayto is a large family-owned business which manufactures Golden Wonder products as well as crisps and snacks for major supermarkets. Due to development and growth, Tayto are looking specifically for a FLAVOURIST to work in the manufacturing department. This is a temp to perm position. Successful candidates will go permanent with the client after probation period with Stafforce.

As a flavourist, you will operate the flavour applicators safely, maintaining efficiency, quality assurance, and quality testing and data analysis.

Pay: 12.52 per hour for day shift, 13.08 per hour for night shift

Shift Pattern: Rotating Day shift (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) and Night shift (10pm-6am)

Key Responsibilities as a Flavourist

Operate the flavour applicators to give coverage within specification

Ensure correct flavours are used, check batch codes

Carry out Q.A checks

Complete all necessary documentation

Carry out flavour changes, efficiently, when required to minimise downtime

Clean applicators correctly to ensure no cross contamination of flavours

When filling applicators ensure no foreign objects enter the product stream

During the end of production clean down strip down applicator, clean to the required standard and rebuild correctly

Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure the work area is always clean and tidy

Monitor flavour applicators and report any faults to the appropriate person

Skills for Flavourist

Proven experience in a food production environment

Understanding of production procedures.

Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).

Analytical skills.

Attention to detail.

Teamwork and communication skills.

Physical stamina and strength.
