This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team and develop their career in electrical engineering. You’ll be working on LV electrical design projects (up to 400V), supporting telecoms equipment installations and ensuring safe and efficient power distribution.

This role is perfect for someone with up to 18 months of experience who is eager to learn, grow, and be mentored by senior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Exposure to cable calculation tools (e.g., Amtech) and an understanding of cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
  • Awareness of LV systems and DC power supplies.
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings; basic CAD skills are an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys and load monitoring to assess electrical systems.
  • Create and review circuit designs, ensuring no overloading of existing circuits.
  • Plan cable routing and source-to-destination supply determination for DC power supplies.
  • Perform basic cable calculations (e.g., voltage drop, cable sizes) and document designs using AutoCAD (basic understanding required).
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with technical standards and safety protocols.

This will be a 2 stage interview process on Teams, hoping to take someone on to start in February.
