Responsible for ensuring operational objectives and KPI's are met through clear communications and excellent leadership of the Major Projects and Operations Teams. The postholder will develop teams to ensure delivery to consistently high standards.Customer facing role, highly responsible for delivering excellent customer serviceYou will:1. Manage the Major Projects Portfolio to meet the key programme milestones2. Ensure the Major Project delivery team and individual projects are suitably resourced3. Proactively manage, coach, mentor and develop team members to enhance personal growth, technical skills and knowledge4. Responsible for approving the scope of works, the plan and the target cost5. Providing clear leadership to the Project Teams and also controlling the activities of the Teams against budget.6. Safe systems of work are deployed7. Optimising the resource plan.8. Project cost controls, managing the profit and loss to agreed margins9. Own the Major Projects company procedures and drive continuous improvement10. Establish working relationships with supply chain 11. Carry out site inspections12. Manage safety, health and environmental mattersYou will be:Highly mobile with a full UK Driving LicenseCommercially orientatedProven track record of supporting teams in a demanding customer focused operational environment.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.Extensive experience in project management, ideally with Prince2 or similarElectrical Qualification (HNC/HND minimum) or similarIdeally be experienced SAP to 11kV or 33kV or 132kVSelf motivated, enthusiastic and able to motivate staffYou will be in the office 3 times per week.
