Title – CAD Technician
Hours – 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs & 8am-4.30pm Fridays
Salary - £35,000-£45,000pa DOE
Location – Scunthorpe
Role – Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful CAD Technician to work for an engineering manufacturer who have been established over 60 years and have gained themselves a reputation for excellence within that time, due to a steady increase in orders and design thereof they are now looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join the existing design team where duties will include:
- Managing several projects at any one time
- Assisting the design office manager
- Manage CAD/Drawing standards.
- Carry out drawings in 2D, 3D and Inventor Software
- Developing and maintaining (bill of materials) BOM creation, publishing Drawings etc.
- General Software troubleshooting and advice
It is expected that the successful CAD Technician will have experience of working in a CAD Techician role previously, have the ability to design from scratch and have working knowledge of Inventor.
- Designing with Inventor
- Design in both 2D and 3D
- Microsoft office software
- Working with Word and Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable managing several projects at any one time
- Attending site visits and meetings
- Experience of steel sections
