We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision within a mainstream secondary school in Scunthorpe. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in managing behaviour and nurturing a positive learning environment. The position is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support the educational and social development of students within the alternative provision.
  • Work closely with teachers to tailor instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Implement behavioural management strategies that contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Assist in preparing materials and equipment for lessons, ensuring that students have the resources they need to succeed.
  • Monitor and support the progress of students, providing feedback and assistance as needed.
  • Facilitate small group and one-on-one interactions to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to promote the overall well-being of students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, particularly within an alternative provision setting.
  • Strong understanding of strategies for managing behaviour and nurturing a positive educational environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
