We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision within a mainstream secondary school in Scunthorpe. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in managing behaviour and nurturing a positive learning environment. The position is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:- Support the educational and social development of students within the alternative provision.
- Work closely with teachers to tailor instruction to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Implement behavioural management strategies that contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Assist in preparing materials and equipment for lessons, ensuring that students have the resources they need to succeed.
- Monitor and support the progress of students, providing feedback and assistance as needed.
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one interactions to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote the overall well-being of students.
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, particularly within an alternative provision setting.
- Strong understanding of strategies for managing behaviour and nurturing a positive educational environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
