Role Title: Interim Commercial Transformation Manager – Leisure and Culture

Work Type: Temporary, initially for up to 6 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 (37 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: As early as February for the right candidate

Role Overview

The Council is seeking a highly skilled Interim Commercial Transformation Manager to lead and deliver a transformational programme within our Leisure and Culture services. This role will focus on redesigning, restructuring, and governing a commercially sustainable and community-focused leisure and culture offer. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of these services, ensuring they meet both financial goals and community needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:

    • Lead the diagnostic, redesign, and implementation of a new operating model and staffing structure for Leisure and Culture services.
    • Provide strategic direction to ensure the offer is robust, financially sustainable, and community-centric.
  • Operational Oversight:

    • Develop and execute a plan for delivering a traded Leisure and Culture service that is innovative and competitive.
    • Optimize income streams and assess opportunities for new products, services, and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaboration and Advisory:

    • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Transformation Team, providing expert advice and strategic insights.
    • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to deliver a seamless community experience.
