We are seeking an enthusiastic Employability Skills Trainer to deliver our tailored training programmes and support learners in their journey towards sustainable employment. In collaboration with Employment Advisors and Employers, you will identify training needs, deliver engaging sessions, and assess learners against accredited qualification criteria. You will also provide follow-up support and track outcomes to ensure ongoing success.

What youll do

  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies, accommodating various learning styles, while effectively managing the classroom to ensure an engaging and productive learning environment
  • Deliver criteria on accredited courses in line with awarding body
  • Design and manage training timetables with the Business Manager/s based on programme and Learner needs
  • Planning and promoting courses to Employment Advisors and other operational staff via distribution of course criteria, quarterly planners, attendance at team meetings, road shows and/or inductions
  • Produce group profiles to plan effective differentiation
  • Provide full feedback on Learner performance during courses.


What youll need

  • Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum
  • A recognised teaching/training qualification or studying for one (City and Guilds 7407 or 7304, PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS/Level 3 Award in Education)
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, performance target driven environment
  • Experience of being accountable for own work e.g., following lessons plans / filling course with learners
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of delivering courses/working in a training environment
  • Technical skills include knowledge of welfare/benefits system/labour market, basic numeracy skills and good written communication/report writing skills, strong administration skills, good computer/technology skills and the ability to use technology to deliver training/courses, knowledge of funding streams and provision such as NEET, ESF and SFA
  • Personal circumstances include a willingness to travel locally (e.g., to deliver training/courses/meet Learners/Employers).

Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
