Appoint Consulting is proud to be working with a well-established, forward-thinking legal firm to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their team in Barton Upon Humber or Scunthorpe.
Key duties and responsibilities for the Residential Conveyancer:
- Build up on caseload of files
- Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions
- Conduct title searches
- Provide advice and guidance to clients regarding property laws & regulations
- Undertake certain elements of fee-earning work under supervision
- Completion of client questionnaires
- Drafting of petition/court documentation
- Deputise for fee earners in their absence if necessary, passing urgent issues to another senior fee earner for guidance (if a small team)
- Seek assistance whenever appropriate from Partner/colleagues in respect of unusual or difficult problems/issues arising in any cases
- Contribute towards your own self-development and attend training arranged for you
- Provide support to other fee earners as required
- Report immediately to the Partner on any issue/complaint re: professional conduct and/or client dissatisfaction and/or potential negligence or negative cost implications for the firm
- Promote good relations with other members of staff and facilitate teamwork
Requirements for the Residential Conveyancer:
- Experience in new builds and complicated resi would be beneficial
- Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of property laws and regulations
- Great attention to detail and communication skills are required
- Proficient in using conveyancing software and other relevant tools
