Technical Director

Shillito Executive Search have been exclusively retained by a Scunthorpe based specialist engineering firm which designs and installs grain processing and storage systems as they look to recruit a Technical Director.

Reporting to the Managing Director and forming part of the senior leadership team, this is a key position within the business.

As the business continues to expand, we are looking to recruit a Technical Director who will help support the continued growth of the business.

The newly created role of Technical Director is a key hire and as well as leading the technical team of around 5 people, they will also shape it for the future. This is a hands-on role and we're looking for someone practical who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in any aspect of running an SME. Attitude is absolutely key and the Technical Director will lead by example to train, drive and shape the technical team.Based at Scunthorpe, the role will involve travel to other sites as well as regional and national travel to meet with both colleagues and customers. We're looking for a strong leader, with a background in both project-based work and technical design from either the grain handling industry or related sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, or process engineering.Ideally coming with an Engineering-related degree, the Technical Director will lead and manage the team to ensure they consistently deliver strong, sustainable performance across a broad range of defined indicators.Adept at managing projects from conception to completion, the Technical Director will understand our customer's needs and how our combination of products and services can meet these in each unique situation.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market leading business as they continue to expand and plan for the future.
