Tradewind is currently in search of a dynamic and committed individual to assume the role of Behaviour Teaching Assistant at a school in Scunthorpe. This exciting opportunity involves providing vital support to students that need specialist, nurturing support within the classroom. The role is to support pupils across, KS2, KS3 and KS4 on a general and 1:1 basis. Pay for this role is between £85-£100 per day. The school require someone on a full time basis.

Responsibilities for the role of Behaviour Teaching Assistant in Scunthorpe:

  • Act as a point of contact the student offering guidance and support
  • Conduct individual sessions with student to address both academic and personal needs
  • Collaborate with academic staff to identify and address the specific needs of individual student
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of programs focusing on pastoral care
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a role related to student wellbeing or support
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to forge positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Understanding of mechanisms supporting academic progress
  • Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the college environment.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, learning support, or counselling.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • A caring and nurturing personality.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • A valid DBS check.
