W Talent is pleased to exclusively represent a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing company located in Scunthorpe in their search for a highly motivated Production Team Leader to join their manufacturing team. This role involves overseeing a team of operators on the Corrugator production line, ensuring the production of high-quality sheet board and single-face products.

Working on a rotating shift pattern (Days, Afters, and Nights), the Production Team Leader will be responsible for driving team performance, maintaining safety and quality standards, and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor production targets and reallocate resources to meet or exceed KPIs.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure the production area is clean, organised, and compliant with site standards.
  • Lead and motivate a team of operators, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct on-the-job training and support competency development among team members.
  • Provide regular feedback through performance reviews and one-to-one discussions.
  • Address performance or behavioural concerns within the team, escalating as required.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and respect across the team.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, risk management, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production software systems.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Clear communication with team members and First Line Managers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Accurate completion and submission of shift reports, production data, and incident documentation.
  • Effective team scheduling, ensuring appropriate coverage and smooth operations.
  • Conduct team briefings at the start and end of shifts to ensure smooth handovers.
