We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team at Aspire People. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in their educational journey, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with a range of additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other SEN.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to monitor progress and ensure personalized learning.
Support students in their social, emotional, and behavioral development, promoting positive relationships and inclusion.
Assist with the preparation of resources and learning activities.
Help students with physical tasks, if necessary, and encourage independence where possible.
Key Skills & Experience:
Experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting, is desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
An understanding of various SEN needs and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also showing initiative when required.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) or a willingness to undertake training.
