Reed Finance are currently working exclusively with a leading manufacturing organisation based just outside of Seaham. Â Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join the team where they will play crucial role for managing the financial health and operational efficiency of the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including statements, budgets, forecasts, and internal controls.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Accounting, Corporate Controlling, and Treasury.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reports.
- Manage cash performance, forecasts, and optimise cash flow.
- Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with local and group reporting standards.
- Act as a financial partner to the Plant Manager, setting and meeting financial and operational targets.
- Validate profitability of investments and products.
- Represent the company in tax, administrative duties, and with financial institutions.
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Experience:
- Strong understanding of accounting, financial management, and reporting.
- Experience with national and international tax regulations.
- Proficiency in cash flow management and risk analysis.
- Excellent leadership and change management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and drive results.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards and employment law.
- Proficient in office automation and information systems.
