Reed Finance are currently working exclusively with a leading manufacturing organisation based just outside of Seaham.  Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join the team where they will play crucial role for managing the financial health and operational efficiency of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including statements, budgets, forecasts, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Accounting, Corporate Controlling, and Treasury.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reports.
  • Manage cash performance, forecasts, and optimise cash flow.
  • Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with local and group reporting standards.
  • Act as a financial partner to the Plant Manager, setting and meeting financial and operational targets.
  • Validate profitability of investments and products.
  • Represent the company in tax, administrative duties, and with financial institutions.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Experience:

  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial management, and reporting.
  • Experience with national and international tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in cash flow management and risk analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and change management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive results.
  • Knowledge of IFRS standards and employment law.
  • Proficient in office automation and information systems.
