Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join our manufacturing and distribution company near Seaham. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR support, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures, and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of HR issues, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment law.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, posting job ads, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee engagement.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
