We are currently looking for a Cleaning Supervisor. You will be working in Sellafield (CA20).

Monday - Friday

09:00am - 17:00pm

Permenant Contract

Salary between - £40,000 per annum - £45,000 per annum

Job Purpose

  • The job involves managing a team of Operational Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives to ensure the delivery of service level requirements for the contract. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance with BICS industry standards and adhering to all Health and Safety requirements associated with the working environment. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Main Duties

  • You will manage resource levels through the Recruitment processes in line with the contract's resource plans and operating model.
  • You will carry out all aspects of people management activities, including probation, induction, absence management, development planning, disciplinaries, and grievances.
  • You will manage and oversee the budget for consumables and orders via the internal process. Regular inspections and Manager in the Field Walk rounds of working areas will be part of your duties.
  • You will review audits performed by the Operational Supervisor to ensure client compliance, standards, and expectations are met. As a point of contact for client-related inquiries and requests, you will provide training and guidance to Operational Supervisors on toolbox talks, risk assessment briefings, and on-the-job refresher training.
  • When customer complaints arise, your effective handling will ensure swift resolution.
  • You will also provide support and guidance regarding the safe operation of machinery and equipment, cleaning standards, and general health and safety practices, including issuing PPE and lone working arrangements

Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in strong people management skills, familiarity with customer audits, and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse workforce. Competence in the application of MS systems is required. While previous experience working within a facilities management function is desirable, it is not essential. The individual must have a qualification or experience in line management or equivalent. Additionally, the candidate must hold a current driving license and be able to achieve SC Clearance.
