We work with local primary schools and support them by providing an inclusive and supportive educational environment for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are conveniently located in the heart of L25, with great commuting links, making commuting a breeze.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school community. In this role, you will work 1:1 with a Year 1 student who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to the child, helping them to access the curriculum and engage positively with their peers.

  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for the child.

  • Monitor and record the child's progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASD and SEMH is essential.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
