Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an FMCG manufacturer based in Selby to recruit a Lead Maintenance Engineer.

Salary: £54,896 - including Shift allowance 

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days and Nights)

The Lead Maintenance Engineer will oversee and coordinate a team of Engineers to ensure the maintenance of all plant equipment and the improvement of it when necessary. 

Responsibilities of the Lead Maintenance Engineer will include: 

  • Plan and prioritise the shift workload
  • Execute the planned preventative maintenance schedule to maximise machinery uptime and minimise disruption to production targets
  • Organise and plan for equipment outages to minimise disruption
  • Ensure all plant and equipment adhere to all relevant legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure the team adheres to good manufacturing practices
  • Train and develop team members

Qualifications and skills of the Lead Maintenance Engineer include:

  • HNC in Engineering
  • Apprentice trained in a relevant vocation 
  • Previous experience within a similar industry
  • Demonstratable knowledge of manufacturing machinery and processes
  • Has people management, leadership, or supervisory experience and can lead a diverse workforce
  • Has experience and skills managing costings and budgets
  • Proven experience in a maintenance leadership role
