HR Business Partner (Projects) - Hybrid Role (Selby, Yorkshire)

Full time, Permanent - Salary £37,000 plus benefits

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for leading impactful projects? We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing and forward-thinking organisation, looking for an HR Business Partner to join their team! This hybrid role is based at their head office in Selby, with the flexibility to work from home and a requirement to travel to the office minimum of two days per week.

As the HRBP (Projects), you’ll report directly to the Director of People and become an integral part of a small, collaborative HR team, where building trusted and credible relationships is key to success. Your key responsibility will be to lead and deliver HR projects aligned with the company’s HR Operating Plan, focusing on the people-first culture of the organisation. You’ll need to quickly assess current practices, provide expert recommendations, and implement effective, practical solutions that drive positive change.

  • A true team player with high emotional intelligence, capable of building trusted and credible relationships across the business.
  • Understands the different levels of ability within the organization and tailors support and guidance accordingly, ensuring all individuals receive the right level of coaching and advice.
  • Leads with positivity, provides reassurance, motivates others, and is seen as a supportive and positive influence across the HR team and wider business.
  • Is able to challenge in a constructive way, understanding the importance of relationships and being skilled at encouraging others while driving positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of HR projects to improve processes and initiatives as outlined in the HR Operating Plan.
  • Develop detailed project plans, considering timelines, training, communication, stakeholder engagement, and required resources.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to ensure HR initiatives are designed and implemented with the business’s needs in mind.
  • Train and coach people managers on Employee Relations (ER) policies and practices.
  • Provide HR advice and support on formal and complex employee relations matters.
  • Review, improve, and ensure HR practices and procedures are legally compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Drive HRIS solutions and identify ways to reduce inefficiencies.
  • Contribute to team objectives and present updates to the Board when required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong HR generalist with project management experience.
  • Proven track record in delivering HR change management projects. Such as benefits, policy updates, new HRIS system, lead on colleague forum etc
  • High emotional intelligence with an ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to tailor support to varying levels of ability and expertise within the organization.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
