Tax Junior

Sevenoaks, Kent

Monday to Friday 9-5:30pm

Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team managing a diverse portfolio of clients. You will handle complex tax queries, meet deadlines, and review teamwork while providing timely, accurate information to support client decision-making. Responsibilities include processing personal and corporation tax returns and preparing tax reporting for HMRC.

Key Responsibilities as Tax Junior:

  • Complete standard income tax returns/corporate tax returns/Employment Related Securities reporting to required level
  • Use standard letters where required
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and HM Revenue & Customs
  • To regularly update appropriate tax spreadsheets / databases
  • Complete all work within the allocated time scales
  • Complete time sheets accurately and on a timely basis
  • Responsible for administrative side of the client take on process within the tax team
  • Support the Tax Manager(s) in the first instance and the wider senior tax team; Senior Tax Manager(s) and Tax Director(s)
  • Be aware of cost implications of actions and meeting set budget requirements
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct and practice
  • Pass professional exams;

- Meet all deadlines and dates set by course provider

- Plan study throughout the year producing consistent link results

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant tax experience
  • 3 A’ Levels - minimum C grade average / Graduate - 2.1 Degree
  • Possibly already studying/passed ATT Qualification
  • Basic understanding of income tax and capital gains tax/corporation tax and business tax
  • IT literate including Excel, Word, Outlook, and relevant tax packages
  • Ability to set up basic tax file
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-reliant and self-motivated to study
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good team player
