What You'll Be Doing- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records
- Handling financial documentation and ensuring proper filing
They're looking for an organised and detail-oriented bookkeeper who thrives in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- IT Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (Sage, Xero, and Dext are advantageous)
- Bookkeeping Expertise: A solid understanding of Double Entry bookkeeping
- Qualifications & Experience: AAT qualification is desirable, but practical experience in an accountancy practice is more important
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous and accurate approach to financial records
- Time Management: Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and work efficiently
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build rapport with clients
