Our client, a market leader in manufacturing and engineering services, seeks a Facilities Assistant  to join their Stansted base. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to progress and receive training for other positions within the facility.Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coolant Maintenance: Ensure machinists have the coolant at the required levels and concentrations.
- Swarf Management: Tidy loose swarf from the shop floor, yard, and around the hangar, and manage the disposal of swarf bins.
- Coolant Recycling: Operate and maintain the coolant recycling plant to keep concentrations optimal.
- Workplace Cleanliness: Ensure workspaces are kept clean, tidy, and safe.
- Pallet Management: Move pallets around the facility as needed.
- Waste Disposal: Empty waste bins and ensure proper disposal.
- Washroom Maintenance: Keep washrooms clean at all times.
- Machine Cleaning: Clean down CNC machine tools as required.
- Fixture Management: Collect used fixtures, return them to Stores, and book them in and out as necessary.
- Stores Assistance: Assist the Stores department as required, including the booking of deliveries.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Health and Safety Awareness: Must be aware of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Initiative: Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Driving License: Full clean driving license required.
- Overtime Availability: Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
- Forklift License: A forklift license is preferable but not essential.
