We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to help keep our 94-bed care home running smoothly. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, upkeep, and efficiency of the home, creating a well-maintained environment for residents and staff.
Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and general repairs.
- Ensure the home meets health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Identify and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
- Work with external contractors when necessary and keep accurate maintenance records.
- At least five years' experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- Hands-on skills in general repair work, including plumbing and electrical maintenance.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a care setting.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to maintenance needs.
