Maintenance Operative - Care Home

Location: Sevenoaks Salary: £11.44 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pmHome Size: 94 beds

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Operative to help keep our 94-bed care home running smoothly. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, upkeep, and efficiency of the home, creating a well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and general repairs.
  • Ensure the home meets health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Handle minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Identify and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Work with external contractors when necessary and keep accurate maintenance records.
What We're Looking For:
  • At least five years' experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Hands-on skills in general repair work, including plumbing and electrical maintenance.
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a care setting.
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to maintenance needs.
