---Role: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Tunbridge Wells area - TN postcode

Shifts: Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5pm

Salary: £40k+

---The role:

Oversee and manage comprehensive quality monitoring process for all products.  Establish and maintain quality standards and specifications with Technical Director

  • Maintain shelf life and condition test documentation.
  • Deputise for the Technical Director in their absence.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections / sign and check labels, positive release with QA team as and when required. 
  • Send quality reports to suppliers, informing them of arrival status and any status changes that require further actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain the label database, label formats, and setup of new line labels.

2. Product Testing, Analysis and documentation

  • Oversee testing protocols to assess product quality
  • Implement corrective actions for stock as necessary and in agreement with Technical  
  • Prepare product samples for pesticide residue testing collection.
  • Conduct product or packaging trials as required.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Liaise with the commercial desk concerning the order of use for each customer. 
  • Collaborate with contract packing clients regarding quality and labels.
  • Assist the Technical Director and Compliance Manager in carrying out internal audits/HACCP audits.
  • Carry out audits of third-party packhouse and complete visits reports as requested by Technical Director and complete visit reports.
