Our client has a rich history and a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service. The Residential Property team is fast-growing and entrepreneurial, with a presence in six offices across the UK.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join the team as a Team Leader, focusing on driving growth and expansion in the local residential property market. As a key member of the management team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing business plans, managing a team of lawyers and support staff, and contributing to the firm-wide strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a business plan to grow the practice
  • Manage and lead a team of lawyers and support staff, including recruitment, performance management, and staff development
  • Drive business development through existing and new connections, exploring new work types and opportunities for diversification
  • Provide day-to-day management of team members, including technical matters, financial management, and compliance
  • Instill firm's culture and values throughout the team
  • Act as initial point of escalation for client feedback and complaints handling
  • Oversee training and development of junior team members
  • Work closely with high-end property finders and estate agents to develop relationships
  • Act for a range of clients on diverse residential property matters

Requirements:

  • 8+ years' PQE at a strong regional or City firm
  • Experience in mainstream residential real estate work with minimal supervision
  • Strong academic background
  • A following of clients
  • High attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
  • Flexible approach to work with ability to meet client deadlines
  • Interest in business development and ability to meet demands of high-value conveyancing
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office software, time recording software, Outlook, and digital dictation
