Rockdale is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, supporting older people in Sevenoaks, Kent. Today we provide homes to over 200 residents in sheltered accommodation and to residents living in a 48-bed residential care home.Â
We welcome applicants that have experience of working in the care sector, a passion for supporting the elderly, someone who can bring a wealth of knowledge to strengthen our board of trustees.
You must have an understanding and interest in the care home sector and the issues it faces, preferably with experience of supporting the elderly in a care home environment. Â Also a good understanding of good governance, regulatory and compliance requirements in the social care sector, especially CQC regulation.

- An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship
- Proven ability to think strategically.
- Oversee the risk management framework and maintain an agreed assurance framework.
- Good, independent judgement
- An ability to think creatively.
- An ability to work effectively as a member of the team.
- Willingness to provide constructive challenge to peers and the SMT.
- Able to contribute to monthly audits in either the care home or our independent living properties and be able to complete a findings report.
