Senior Quantity Surveyor - West / South West England

This well renowned main contractor who are currently in period of planned expansion are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in measured term and social housing projects to join their team. This role will be covering projects in the West / South West of England, operating from their Berkshire office.

Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial resources of various projects to maximize cashflow and margin. You will also provide support to the project team with commercial and contractual expertise, while assessing, reviewing, and mitigating risks in line with company policies.

Your day-to-day activities will involve managing commercial resources, liaising with project teams, resolving commercial issues, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the social housing sector.

Responsibilities:
- Utilizing schedule of rates including various versions of the NHF Investment and Planned Works Schedule
- Leading the commercial management of multiple sites to maximize cashflow and margins
- Pricing and managing variation accounts both upstream and downstream
- Resolving commercial issues and liaising with clients
- Coordinating with site delivery team to gather information on day-to-day remits
- Providing the site delivery team with commercial and contractual expertise
- Managing subcontractors and change management
- Contract administration (JCT and NEC)
- Cost valuation reconciliations and cashflow forecast management/preparation

Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Quantity Surveying
- Proficient IT Skills with a range of Microsoft office packages
- Understanding and usage of Microsoft Projects / Astra Projects
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
