Are you an English Teacher with experience working with students exhibiting Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you skilled in managing challenging behaviours and creating a supportive learning environment? If so, we invite you to apply for our exciting English teaching role for a Special Educational Needs school.

 

Our School based in Guildford, Surrey cater to KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH and challenging behaviours. They are looking for an experienced English Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent role and the salary will be equal to the main Teachers’ pay scale. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that meets the unique needs of the students.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Monitor and assess student progress
  • Promote social and emotional well-being among students.
  • Work alongside the Teaching Assistants and SLT team to create an inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching English to students with SEMH and challenging behaviours.
  • Effective behaviour management skills and a proactive approach to creating a positive learning environment.
  • Experience in teaching English up to GCSE level
