Stafforce are recruiting for 5 Counter Balance FLT Drivers with a minimum of B2 category on their licence with proven experience to work for our prestigious client who are a Bulk Timber Distributor based on the Port of Sheerness.

The Role:

Job Title: FLT 72-Tonne Driver (Timber Bulks Site).

Location: Sheerness Port.

Salary: £12.25 to £18.25 per hour PAYE.

Working Hours & Shift Patterns:

3 days on and 3 days off over 7 days as this is a 24/7 Operation.

Shifts: Earlies 06:00 to 14:00, Mid Shift 14:00 to 22:00 & Nights 22:00 to 06:00.

There are 3 shifts and you will need to be flexible to work on all shifts but are likely to mostly work earlies and late shifts with limited nights.

About the Role:

We are seeking 5 skilled 72-tonne FLT Drivers to join our team at Sheerness Port, working on the Bulk Timber Site. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of timber within the service and bulks yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating a 72-tonne forklift truck to transport timber products.
  • Safely handling and storing timber in designated areas.
  • Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with the site team to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum License: B2 (B3 license preferred). Candidates with B2 will receive training to upgrade their licence.
  • Experience operating high-capacity Forklift Trucks. Also experience with unstable loads is required.
  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work split shifts.
