Accounts & Audit SeniorSheffieldCirca £38,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists, Clark Wood, are currently working with a prestigious and leading firm of chartered accountants in Sheffield who are looking to add an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to their team.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, the successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion. The audit element of the role is likely to account for approximately 50% of the workload.

This well respected firm have a fantastic presence in the area and they are known for providing a consistently excellent level of service to their clients, whilst also being renowned as a fantastic place for individuals to develop their careers and experience due to the wide diversity of exposure they can offer.

You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development. The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectivesTake an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategyOversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completionEnsure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectivesSupervising & developing more junior members of staffAccounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnerships

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part QualifiedExperience of leading Audit assignments
