Management AccountantLocation: Sheffield Contract: 3-6 MonthsWe are excited to be working with a leading PE-owned business based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a qualified Management Accountant to cover a period of permanent recruitment. The company has seen double-digit growth over the last few years and is continuing its expansion, particularly within the European market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and oversight of monthly management accounts for over 10 entities, covering both UK and EU branches. This involves group consolidation and ensuring precise handling of multicurrency transactions.
- Oversee and approve expense management, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
- Consolidate financial statements across multiple entities, working with various currencies (e.g., Euro to GBP) and managing foreign exchange (FX) transactions.
- Collaborate with sales and project teams throughout Europe to ensure accurate cost and payroll reporting.
- Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Support year-end preparation, ensuring all project costs are accurately reflected in the financial statements for both UK and EU entities.
Qualifications:
- Ideally a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), though strong QBE candidates may also be considered.
- Proven experience in managing multi-entity, multicurrency financial operations
- Strong knowledge of consolidation, FX transactions, and cost management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
