Management AccountantLocation: Sheffield Contract: 3-6 MonthsWe are excited to be working with a leading PE-owned business based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a qualified Management Accountant to cover a period of permanent recruitment. The company has seen double-digit growth over the last few years and is continuing its expansion, particularly within the European market.The key focus of this role will be to maintain and consolidate monthly management accounts for over 10 different entities as well as year end preparation and ad-hoc support to the rest of the finance team.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and prepare monthly management accounts for over 10 entities, including both UK and EU branches. This includes group consolidation and ensuring accuracy in multicurrency transactions.
- Manage and approve expenses and ensure proper revenue recognition.
- Handle the consolidation of financials across multiple entities, working with various currencies (e.g., Euro to GBP) and managing FX transactions.
- Liaise with sales and project teams across Europe to ensure costs and payroll are accurately captured and reported.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting function.
- Assist in the preparation for the year-end, ensuring all project costs are accurately reflected in both UK and EU financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Ideally a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), though strong QBE candidates may also be considered.
- Proven experience in managing multi-entity, multicurrency financial operations
- Strong knowledge of consolidation, FX transactions, and cost management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
