Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a successful and fast-growing manufacturing business business that have multiple sites across the UK. Established for over 50 years, they now employ over 450 people and have an annual turnover of over £90 Million. To be based at their site in Sheffield, they are looking for a Qualified or part Qualified Management Accountant to strengthen the finance team following major growth over the last 5 years and further planned growth in the future. It is an exciting time to be joining the company with a large orderbook in hand and significant opportunities for further growth. They offer a good benefits package including: -

Please note this role is based 5 days a week in the office.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will be a key person in the finance team, accountable for producing accurate financial accounts, forecasts, budgets and analysis which will be used both internally and externally.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing financial analysis and reporting, including standardising or automating existing reporting
  • Monitoring and controlling key WIP /Raw Material stocks
  • Owning and generating financial accounts package for a number of sites / business units, including preparation of management reports, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts and fixed asset register controls
  • Monitor and reporting on the financial performance of separate business units, including working with the factory management to improve cost / utilisation performance
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Systems and controls required to produce accurate financial information
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports as required by Finance and Business management

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant or actively working towards qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Ideally experience within the manufacturing sector
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities whilst still working to a high level of detail
  • Take ownership and see tasks through from start to finish
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, Sage experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Be adaptable, flexible and inquisitive
  • Show desire to review and improve existing processes
  • Strong personality to be able to challenge operations
