The Role

Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Sheffield, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join our Sheffield office.

Our office is conveniently located at Thorncliffe Business Park complex, with easy access to M1 (Junction 35/36) and Sheffield City Centre.

We support a highly varied client base throughout the region, ranging from growing owner-managed businesses through to larger corporate entities, providing these clients with a full range of accounting, business advisory and taxation services including highly innovative accounting and business solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

The role of Accounts Senior will assist with the following duties

  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts for a varied client portfolio
  • Point of contact for a number of clients within an allocated portfolio
  • Preparation of Business Tax
  • Preparation of Management Accounts
  • Exposure to training and advice on accounting software including cloud based products

Skills and Qualities

The successful applicants must have developed a minimum of 5 year’s experience working within the accountancy profession and will be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified.

Applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience from within the accountancy profession but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also highly encouraged.
