Sewell Wallis are pleased to be working with a new client who's looking for a well-rounded Senior Practice Accountant to join their team at their offices in Sheffield.

You will be joining a team of advanced professionals within their field who you will be supporting you whilst you train and review Semi Senior peers within the firm.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who's looking to have full autonomy with the end-to-end finance function processes!

What you will be doing:

  • Preparing personal and business tax computations
  • Preparing and submitting accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Reviewing and submitting VAT returns
  • Training junior members of staff when required
  • Processing payroll & RTI submissions.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries where necessary

What skills are we looking for:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a practice environment
  • ACCA/ACA/AAT Qualified
  • A good working knowledge of Xero, Sage and BTC would be advantageous
  • Good experience preparing financial statements is essential
